You couldn’t ask for a nicer stay, or nicer hosts than at Graces View! The view, the location, the lovely extra touches such as freshly baked bread and yogurt pots, the sparkling clean space, the incredibly comfy bed…this really is a special hideaway! Freda and Aaron are both lovely, generous people and put a lot of work into making your stay extra special (if you’re lucky, you might even get to meet their adorable pup Molly). The location couldn’t be better – it’s a very short drive down into Cygnet or up to Huonville, partly via a spectacular drive along the bay. Also, if you’re looking for tips on what to do or where to eat nearby, Freda and Aaron have you covered! If you’re looking to stay in Huon Valley and need a central, cosy and friendly place to stay, then this is definitely it!!

Quiet, relaxing, beautiful property

My husband and I chose to stay at Graces View to celebrate our anniversary with a relaxing weekend away in the Huon Valley. Our stay was absolutely perfect. The view is amazing, a lovely quiet street with no traffic noise was ideal for relaxing. A short drive into Cygnet for some great eating spots was a great day trip. The room is just a nice size with a beautiful balcony to enjoy the tasty breakfast that Freda prepared for us each morning. She is a caring and thoughtful host, made us feel comfortable and welcome. Would stay here again anytime. Thanks Freda.

I’m truly trying to think of one place I’ve stayed that has offered me such stillness and relaxation – it’s like the calming energy just hit me as soon as I walked in the door. Freda, in the short time I spoke with you – you are a fabulous host and this made my stay all the more enjoyable. Just even down to the little things, like vegemite in the cupboard – my stay here has been amazing.

Absolute Gem ! Beautifully decorated, exceptionally clean and very convenient. We loved it so much we could move in! The views are incredible and we loved sitting by the huge window as we ate breakfast, looking out across the bay. Lovely comfortable bed was a highlight – best nights sleep on the whole trip! We loved the breakfast trays filled with local produce for breakfast, that was a real treat! Thank you Freda & Aaron, we will be back again for sure!

This is a spectacular vacation spot. The room was incredibly clean, comfortable and well appointed with one of the most beautiful and peaceful views I’ve ever seen. Unlike some other B & B’s this one has quality linen, towels, pillows and furnishings. Freda was warm and welcoming. Her styling is spot on and her baking skills were very appreciated – there’s nothing quite like home made bread in the morning. Would highly recommend to all my family and friends and we will definitely be back!

We thought this was 5 star, from the greeting by Freda, the studio, the views and the weather as also perfect. This valley is beautiful with all the different bays. An absolute must on a visit to Tasmania.

When I was looking for an BnB in the Cygnet area, ‘Graces View’ caught my eye – the photos of the view and studio room were stunning. We certainly weren’t disappointed on arrival as the room, just like the photos, was perfect. Freda was an amazing host, who made us feel incredibly welcome and provided us with freshly baked sourdough and yoghurt/muesli pots on arrival for the next day’s breakfast (which my husband said was ‘the best yoghurt dish he has ever had’).

The studio room was very private, cosy and clean, as well as being well equipped with everything you needed (plus more). We were very disappointed that we were only in the area for a short time, as we would have happily stayed for a week or two. We will certainly be back! Thank you again Freda for making our stay a real treat!

We had a very enjoyable stay at Graces View. Freda was there to greet us as we drove in. She provided a freshly baked loaf of sourdough as well as some delicious Chia puddings to have for breakfast the following morning.

Wish there were six stars for each category because Freda’s place was nothing short of outstanding! The pics simply don’t do this place justice — my wife was thrilled with the view and cosy room. We’d highly recommend it to anyone wanting a relaxing and romantic getaway.

Freda is clearly a proud Huon Valley local. On arrival, Freda had baked us fresh sourdough straight from the oven and supplied us with small pots of local bush honey and jam — a wonderful touch and our first taste of some of the Huon’s fantastic produce. The fridge was also stocked with fresh apple juice, local milk and butter. She even brought us muesli and local yoghurt for breakfast each morning! Bed was wonderfully comfy too!

This private space was beautifully decorated in simple tasteful decor and it has spectacular views over Cygnet to the water and the mountains beyond. We really enjoyed our stay. I especially liked sheep in the paddock next door and visiting wallabies.

Freda and Aaron were absolutely brilliant hosts. Upon entry to our room, we barely noticed the beautifully styled interior as we were mesmerised by the breathtaking views of Glaziers Bay and the surrounding countryside.

When we could tear our eyes away from the view, we were pleased to see that the room looked even better than the photographs. The bed was extremely comfortable, the breakfast provisions were great (including homemade sourdough) and we would definitely stay here again.

All modern conveniences from wi-fi to aircon in a room so well designed to maximise on the view across the rolling slopes down to the Huon River. Faces west so you can lie in bed and watch the sunset.

Home made sourdough bread and chia cups for breakfast were a delight before we enjoyed 3 days imbibing the music and community at the Cygnet Folk Festival 2017. (we don’t like camping!) Everything is 5 star from the chemical free shampoo, conditioner and soap to the whole look and feel of our room.

Our ceramic and graphic designer hosts have created a wonderful hideaway with human warmth that made it a home away from home. Best place we have stayed in over years attending the Festival.

Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful! Such a beautiful space, inside and outside. A new and very comfortable and lovely room with all the amenities including some home baked bread and other treats.

The view is to ‘Live’ for! I have not seen a more expansive and beautiful view in all of Tasmania. Freda and Aaron were so welcoming and friendly – they are just beautiful people, so happy to have met them. I will be back to this very special place. Thank you! Highly recommended.
